The Truth About Kirby Hensley the ULC Modesto Founder.

Re: The Truth About Kirby Hensley the ULC Modesto Founder.

It is not my intent to malign Kirby Hensley, I am very grateful to Kirby for starting the Universal Life Church in Modesto, CA. and coming up with the idea to ordain anybody and everybody under the sun. This concept has led to other Churches doing the same. However, I will not sugarcoat my feelings toward this man, nor will I hide the truth from current day ULC Modesto ordained Ministers of who Kirby Hensley really was and what Kirby Hensley stood for. I sympathize for my Brother Andre for many think Brother Andre was the son of the Anti-Christ, or the devil and he very well could be.

Kirby Hensley was very much a hated individual and he was villified by the majority of the world's population, not because he ordained everybody under the sun, but because of what he stood for. Even the ULC Ministers hated Kirby Hensley, heck in 1964 Kirby ran for President under the Universal Ticket Platform, which was quite odd (see below), he garnered only 19 votes.

19 votes in a Presidential Election - Anyone of us could get more than 19 votes from just family members alone. Getting only 19 votes shows just how hated this man was and for very just reason. He could not even get all of his own family members or ministers to vote for him.

To his own Ministers he ordained - Kirby Hensley called them kooks.

The tenets of a ULC ordination was to respect all faiths and beliefs, to allow each individual the right to choose how they wished to pray. - Yet Kirby Hensley trash talked Christians, The Bible and Jesus Christ.

These are several famous quotes of Kirby Hensley

"Jesus was a good actor."

"The Bible "is full of lies from one end to the other."

"We're coming up on the 21st century and there's not one verse of Scripture in the Bible that will take you beyond the 20th century."

Kirby Hensley referencing ordained ULC Ministers and I quote:

"I just want to raise all the hell I can, and get all the kooks and what-have-you as churches; then they (the government) will have to tax them all."

Again in 1968, he ran for president; one of his platforms was "civil treatment for visitors from other worlds." The following year, he ran for governor. In 1984, he declared the birth of a new nation — his church. In 1986, he celebrated his coronation in the "Kingdom of Aqualandia" and offered a combo deal: kingdom citizenship and a ministerial charter for $35.

The Universal Party Platform was to establish Ambassadors to greet aliens from outer space. Folks I'm not making this up and that is why I've included these links, as I said it is not my intent to malign Brother Kirby, he brought such upon himself. My objective is to educate you and to make sure you realize what you stand for, if you are ordained by the Universal Life Church in Modesto, CA. and why many do not not look at your ordination with the ULC Modesto too highly.

If you want others to take your ordination seriously, if you want to be looked upon with respect, I would strongly recommend separately yourself from the Universal Life Church in Modesto, CA. Reordination takes a few seconds, just go to
Get Ordained | Become a Minister | Universal Life Church and click on the ordination link on the right hand side. Kirby Hensley was most definitely an enigma.

Peace & Blessings!

~ Brother Michael
